Building relationships with students and families, including home visits is another example of these dedicated professionals to the students and families of Denver. Read the full story here: December 12, 2006: Denver Daily News With over 40 DPS schools reporting class sizes over the contractual number of 35, Kim Ursetta, Jenny Rasmussen, and Melissa Underwood-Verdeal speak to the Denver Daily News about this hot issue. December 7, 2006: Rocky Mountain News Teach for America, the "Peace Corp of teaching" is in discussions with the district to place 50 teachers into DPS for next fall. The Denver Post reports on the petition and the time impacts on Denver Teachers. Both Ursetta and Grant Middle School teacher Amber Wilson are featured in the article.
